Audi is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the RS4 Avant by releasing a limited-edition special version of the performance wagon. While the striking Imola Yellow paint job is eye-catching, the true upgrades lie under the hood. The RS division has boosted the power of the twin-turbo V-6 engine, giving it an extra 20 horsepower for a total of 464 hp, while torque remains at 443 lb-ft. This latest version of the RS4 Avant takes just 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph, outperforming both the standard model and the RS4 Avant Competition by 0.4 and 0.2 seconds, respectively.

In comparison to its rival, the BMW M3 Touring, the RS4 Avant edition 25 years falls slightly short in terms of power, with the BMW offering 503 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque from a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter inline-six engine. However, the Audi still manages to hit a top speed of 186 mph, which is 6 mph higher than the Competition model and faster than the BMW M3 Touring, which is electronically limited to 174 mph. Furthermore, Audi has equipped this special edition with a stiffer suspension setup, allowing for better handling and performance on the road.

In addition to the power upgrades, the anniversary RS4 Avant comes with features such as an RS sports exhaust system with matte black oval tips, as well as exclusive 20-inch matte black wheels paired with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires for enhanced grip. The car also includes a second set of 20-inch wheels with P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires, perfect for track use. Audi has made improvements to the transmission software for quicker shifts and has adjusted the front axle for better grip, ensuring a thrilling driving experience for owners of this special edition vehicle.

This exclusive version of the RS4 Avant will be limited to just 250 units and will only be available for purchase in Europe starting in June. Customers can choose between the striking Imola Yellow paint, Nardo Gray, or Mythos Black, with a price tag of €142,905, equivalent to around $155,400 at current exchange rates. With its powerful performance upgrades and unique design features, the RS4 Avant edition 25 years pays tribute to the legacy of the Audi RS4 Avant while offering an exhilarating driving experience for enthusiasts and collectors alike.
