British viewers of Britain’s Got Talent were in for a surprise as the final kicked off on Sunday night, with judge Bruno Tonioli seemingly being booed by the audience. The competition has reached its conclusion, with ten acts competing for the £250,000 prize and a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Despite the excitement of the final, the audience’s reaction to Bruno’s introduction raised eyebrows. As the first act, Haribow, performed and Bruno tried to share his feedback, the boos could be heard again. Viewers took to Twitter to express their confusion over the situation, with some speculating that the audience may have been chanting Bruno’s name instead of booing him.

Singer Sydnie Christmas, who wowed the judges with her rendition of Frank Sinatra’s My Way, is currently the favorite to win the competition. Ladbrokes has placed her as the overwhelming favorite at 2/5, with comedian Alex Mitchell and Abigail & Afronitaa following behind. The odds for every other act stand at 12/1 or higher, with Northants Sings Out and Trixy being the rank outsiders at 66/1 apiece. Despite her potential triumph, Sydnie remains grounded, stating that she will be returning to her receptionist job at a local gym on a zero-hour contract on Monday morning, regardless of the outcome.

Sydnie shared her dream of working full-time in the West End and hopes that Britain’s Got Talent will provide the platform to make that dream a reality. Before her BGT audition, she was considering giving up on her dreams due to a series of audition rejections. The process has been a rollercoaster ride for Sydnie, who has appeared on the E4 programme Stage School, showcasing the challenges faced by performing arts students. Throughout her journey on the show, Sydnie has received unwavering support from her family, including her grandmothers who watched her first audition at the Palladium, and her boyfriend, fellow musical actor Max Rizzo from Sicily, who is represented by an agency specializing in rising stars.

The judges, including Bruno Tonioli, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden, made their grand entrance in their usual glamorous fashion for the final. Amanda Holden stunned in a sexy silver dress, while Alesha Dixon wore a leggy red number, adding to the excitement of the evening. As the night progresses, the tension mounts for the remaining acts, each vying for the top spot and the opportunity to showcase their talents on a prestigious stage. Viewers eagerly await the final results, wondering who will emerge victorious and secure a bright future in the world of entertainment.
