A premature baby born 15 months ago is finally coming home to her twin sister after an extended hospital stay.

Helen and her twin sister Alma were born in December 2021 at 28 weeks. While Alma was well enough to go home with their moms, Harriet and Isabela, after four months, Helen still needed some rehabilitative support.

When she was born, Helen weighed just 1 pound and 11 ounces.

She was taken to Franciscan Children’s in Brighton, where she received respiratory, physical, occupational, and speech therapy care.

The hospital posted a video supporting Helen and showing her leaving the hospital with her mothers surrounded by a hallway of bubbles and applause.
