A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

6/10: A little cooler today compared to the weekend, but points for the return of at least partial sunshine.

  • Today: Partly sunny, breezy. Highs: 47 to 52.
  • Tonight: Partly cloudy, cold. Lows: 31 to 38.
  • Tomorrow: Increasing high clouds. Highs: 44 to 49.

The first few days of this week feel wintry, and our colder areas could even see a few snowflakes Tuesday night. But the chill doesn’t endure, and temperatures rise well into the 50s Friday through the weekend. While details still have to come into focus, Sunday could be the week’s wettest day, so keep that in mind for any outdoor planning.

Today (Monday): After the weekend gloom, we should at least see some partial sunshine behind the cold front that passed overnight. Even so, chilly breezes from the northwest (around 5 to 10 mph) hold highs to the upper 40s and low 50s, which are pretty close to the norm. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: It’s a partly cloudy to mostly clear night with seasonably chilly temperatures. Lows range from near 30 in our colder areas to the mid- to upper 30s downtown. There’s a lingering breeze from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph that should gradually ease overnight. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Mostly sunny skies in the morning give way to some high clouds moving in as the day wears on. It’s rather chilly, with highs in the mid- to upper 40s. Light winds are from the west at 5 to 10 mph. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Skies become mostly cloudy with some patchy showers moving through the region. In our colder areas, in particular, snow could be in the mix. Little or no accumulation is expected as lows range from the low to mid-30s in our colder areas to the mid- to upper 30s downtown. Confidence: Medium

On Wednesday, a few widely scattered rain or snow showers are possible early before partial clearing and blustery conditions (some winds gusting over 20 mph). It’s the week’s coldest day with highs only 40 to 45. A very cold night follows, with lows in the 20s to near 30. Confidence: Medium-High

Under mostly sunny skies, we see a gradual warming trend between Thursday and Saturday, although it’s chilly to start. Highs on Thursday are only in the low to mid-40s, but they rise to 50 to 55 Friday and 55 to 60 on Saturday. Lows at night during this stretch rise through the 30s. Confidence: Medium-High

There’s a possibility of a significant storm system passing to our west on Sunday. On such a track, the storm would draw mild air into the region with periods of rain. The exact timing of the rainfall is uncertain, so stay tuned for more updates. Highs Sunday should reach the 50s. Confidence: Low-Medium
