Explosion at the Annakirmes: charges against ghost train bombers

After the explosion in a ghost train at the Annakirmes in Düren, the public prosecutor filed charges. This was confirmed by the director of the District Court of Düren, Dr. Stephan Ebeling, opposite BILD. The Cologne (41) is accused of causing an explosive explosion and attempting dangerous bodily harm.

According to the indictment, he had mixed ingredients from the supermarket in a plastic bottle on the afternoon of August 2nd. They formed a gas and burst the Diet Coke bottle. Nobody got hurt.

“Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved” showed photos of the man in the ghost train. A little later, the man from Cologne turned himself in. He was taken into custody. In the meantime, he is – until further notice – on the loose. The motive for the ghost train bomber, as he said during interrogation: it was supposed to be fun…

Bizarre: Two weeks earlier, the man is said to have pulled off the same number in a ghost train at the Düsseldorf fair. The public prosecutor’s office in the state capital is still investigating, and charges could follow there.
