Fatal crash on Baltimore-Washington Parkway in Bowie

One person died when two vehicles crashed on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway early Sunday, according to the U.S. Park Police.

The collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the parkway’s northbound side near Route 197 in Bowie, police said. Emergency workers pronounced one person dead at the scene of the crash.

No one else involved in the incident required hospitalization. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
