Reason: The goalkeeper’s Polish club, KS Vive Kielce, is threatened with bankruptcy!

Due to the premature exit of the main sponsor “Van Pur” at the end of December, around a third of the budget is missing – a minus of around five million euros.

What’s next?

According to President Bertus Servaas (59), Kielce is looking for sponsors. He wants to continue the national and European competitions with the best possible line-up until the end of the season. Whether that works will be decided in mid-March.

Polish media reports that Hungarian top club Veszprem have our World Cup hero on their list.

Kielce’s president wants to prevent sales and has asked the city for help in an open letter.

By the way: It is not the first time that the Polish top club is threatened with collapse. It was already stuck in 2018 and 2020, the players waived 25 percent of their salary.
