Krösche puts pressure on Eintracht stars

You have already achieved a lot with Eintracht: Euro League victory, Champions League round of 16, upper league third. Now coach Oliver Glasner (48) and sports director Markus Krösche (42) are tackling the next task.

Both have made it their mission to drive out Eintracht’s diva gene (embarrassing slip-ups against the “little ones” after great victories against the “big ones”). Today against Hertha will show how close they are to their goal.

Diva fit or royal class?

With a win against the crisis club, Eintracht would remain in the top group and close to the Champions League places. With bankruptcy, everyone would talk about the “moody diva” again.

So far this season there has only been one slip: in October the 0:3 in Bochum after two gala games against Union (2:0) and Tottenham (0:0).

Afterwards Glasner said: “I set myself a big goal that that is no longer the case. I’ll really kneel down there. So that we can still let this diva from the Main be diva, but only the positive side of it.”

So far, the coach has kept his promise, winning with Eintracht in Augsburg (2-1) and against Schalke (3-0). It should continue the same way against the Berliners.

Krösche to BILD: “Of course I know the ‘moody diva’. But I don’t accept that. We want to show everyone that we have made further progress in this respect as well. We’ve done it a couple of times this season.”

The sports board continued: “It will be a difficult game against Hertha. But we now have a certain consistency in performance. We are on the right track there.”
