Marco Huck back in the ring after two years: “Ulli Wegner should be my string puller”

His name still sounds good in professional boxing: Berlin’s heavyweight Marco Huck (38). After a two-year ring break, the ex-world champion dares his comeback on May 20 in Braunlage (live on DAZN).

In the ice stadium there, Huck fought his last fight in 2021 against Denis Lewandowski from Schwerin, which he won on points. Now the return to his “living room”.

Huck: “My comeback will be broadcast in over 200 countries. Proof that my name still counts.”

An opponent is still being sought. Kenan Huck, the heavyweight’s brother: “It will be a pro from Eastern Europe. A build-up opponent after such a long break.” A coach has not yet been fixed either. Marco Huck takes care of that personally.

He says: “I already asked my old teacher Ulli Wegner. But he’s in the hospital at the moment, undergoing surgery. But he should still pull the strings for me.”
