The season is (almost) over – but not for our national players!
On Wednesday evening they came DFB stars in Frankfurt at the “Kempinski Gravenbruch” team hotel, where Hansi Flick (58) is preparing his team for the next few days for the international matches against Ukraine in Bremen, in Poland and against Colombia in Gelsenkirchen.
Our storm hopeful Niclas Füllkrug was the first to arrive at 8:25 p.m., followed by Timo Werner. Sweet: Jonas Hofmann was driven up by his Laura (Sky presenter), and there was a kiss to say goodbye. Both are newly married. Hofmann: “I really hope that there is his extra boost. We relaxed for a few more days.”

It’s no problem that he has to go back after the season. Hofmann: “It’s not difficult at all to motivate yourself. It is always an honor and a privilege to be here. I’ll hit it all, like I always do when I’ve got the eagle on my chest. The goal is to win the games, play good football and develop further. It’s important that we go full throttle, even if it’s just friendlies.”
The first Dortmund came at 9:35 p.m.: Emre Can was in a good mood despite missing the championship and patiently gave autographs to the 30 or so fans who were waiting (like almost all the players).
At 9:55 p.m., Bayern champions Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané arrived – together with Kevin Schade and Dortmund’s Marius Wolf.
The meeting point was officially until 10 p.m., seven players only came after that: First Antonio Rüdiger and David Raum as well as Benjamin Henrichs at 10:28 p.m. Lukas Klostermann, Florian Wirtz and the two Dortmunders Julian Brandt and Nico Schlotterbeck were the last to arrive – the common train from North Rhine-Westphalia was late. But there is no penalty, the DFB is lenient on arrival.

The first training session takes place on Thursday afternoon – publicly on the DFB campus in front of drawn fans.
Ilkay Gündogan, Robin Gosens (Champions League final), Thilo Kehrer (Conference League final) and Marc-André ter Stegen (Japan tour with Barca) are not yet there.
