Near Stuttgart: drivers flee from the police with 3 per mille
Ostrach – This driver had drunk way too much alcohol!
A man in Ostrach (Sigmaringen district) was in a chase with the police with an alcohol level of three per thousand, which ended up in the crash barrier for him.
The 36-year-old is said to have previously rammed two parked vehicles and fled the scene of the accident, the police said on Sunday.
A patrol spotted the man in his car, but he didn’t respond to stop signals. Instead, the 36-year-old accelerated and left the lane to the right in a left-hand bend.
There he crashed into five crash barrier elements. After the man took a breath alcohol test, his driver’s license was confiscated.
The incident on Saturday resulted in a total loss of 2,000 euros on his car. Damage to the parked vehicles was provisionally estimated at 5,000 euros. The damage to the crash barrier is 1600 euros.
