Paris Hilton shocked fans Tuesday when she revealed that she secretly welcomed a child, a baby boy,  with her husband Carter Reum via surrogate.

The socialite, 41, made the announcement via Instagram, which included a photo of the new mom clutching onto her infant’s hand.

‘You are already loved beyond words,’ wrote Hilton, followed by a blue heart emoji.

‘It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other,’ Hilton said in a statement to PEOPLE.

‘We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.’

She did not reveal further details about the birth.

Though this is Hilton’s first child, Reum, 40, already shares a 10-year-old daughter with reality star Laura Bellizzi, who he has allegedly seen ‘only once.’

Last month, the Simple Life star shared that she and her husband had started their IVF journey in 2020 before he ever proposed.

She told PEOPLE that they had ‘all of the eggs stocked and ready.’

The pair wed in November 2021 at Hilton’s grandfather Barron Hilton’s Bel-Air estate.

In early 2022, Paris told E! News that she hoped to have ‘two or three’ kids with the millionaire entrepreneur. ‘And I would want twins first – or I don’t know, it’s hard to say.’
