In the finals, spellers will first compete in a spelling round, followed by a word meaning round, then another spelling round. If no champion has been declared by the 1-hour, 55-minute mark of the bee’s broadcast window, a spell-off is triggered, and each remaining contender has 90 seconds to spell as many words as possible.
