IVAN TONEY has posted a bullish seven-word message on social media after his betting ban, telling fans he will be “back soon” following the start of his eight-month suspension.

Brentford star Toney, 27, won’t play again until 2024 after breaching hundreds of FA betting rules.

The newly-capped England international was diagnosed with a gambling addition as he escaped a 15-month ban.

And supporters can’t even play as Toney on FIFA 23 after he was removed from the popular video game by publisher EA Sports.

The hitman now looks to have blown his chances of securing a big-money summer move.

But Brentford are sticking by their man as they prepare to offer him a new long-term contract.

And a buoyed Toney has promised fans they have not seen the last of his incredible ability after posting a message on social media.

The forward declared: “Cream always rises, remember that. Back soon.”

Toney has been a smash hit in his three years at Brentford, scoring 68 goals in 124 matches.

He struck 31 times in his debut season to help the Bees secure Premier League promotion.

And 20 goals this term saw Thomas Frank’s men record a historic top-half finish ahead of local rivals Fulham and Chelsea.

Despite his betting charges, Toney earned a deserved Three Lions debut against Ukraine in March.

And Gareth Southgate insists the ace can still be part of his plans at Euro 2024 after slamming the FA’s punishment.

He said: “I don’t like the idea that we just leave somebody so they are not allowed to be a part of the football community.

“Without a doubt [Toney can make the Euros]. It is not ideal because he is going to miss a large chunk of the season.

“You don’t know after that sort of period out how physically he is going to adapt and how he is going to play.

“But it is possible for him. There would still be time. He has really impressed us with the way he has played and I like personality.

“I like his belief and the way he goes about his job. So everything is still possible with him I think.”
