CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN is reportedly training with Swiss third tier outfit FC Chiasso as he continues to look for a new club.

The ex-Tottenham star, 29, is yet to play since his cardiac arrest on the pitch for Denmark at Euro 2020.

The Dane, who suffered at cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, is a free agent after being released by Inter

His contract at Inter Milan was terminated this month as footballers with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator) are banned from playing in Italy.

The device monitors his heart rhythm and sends shocks to his heart if necessary.

His agent Martin Schoots has already confirmed there are some teams willing to sign Eriksen.

The Great Dane returned to training this month with former club Odense Boldklub.

Now Chiasso are allowing him to train with them in order to keep fit, according to Swiss outlet Le Matin.

He is using the facilities at the Swiss Promotion League side to ‘keep in shape before bouncing back’ with a club at a higher level.

There has recently been speculation that he could make a comeback at another of his former teams, Ajax – but reporter Fabrizio Romano ruled out the Dutch giants’ interest.

Tottenham have also been suggested as a stunning next step.

The playmaker spent seven years in North London, featuring 305 times, before leaving in January 2020 for Inter.

His agent Martin Schoots recently said: “Things look good. And he is feeling good. All physical results are positive. Christian has his dreams.

“Christian is doing really well. He has been training himself for months and things are going very well.

“It was clear that we would work towards this solution for a long time. Italy is simply the only country where as a rule you can’t play with an ICD.

“So it’s a pity especially since Chris is so immensely loved by the fans. But on the other hand it’s also positive because Chris now can look at the future with another perspective.”
