Do Celebrity Gogglebox couple Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh have any kids?

Olympic gold medal-winning hockey players Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh are an iconic duo on the field – and they might have added another member to the team.

The former Team GB Olympians were part of the hockey squad who won gold at the 2016 Rio Games.

And they are set to join the celebrity Gogglebox team for the fourth season of the incredibly humorous show.

Who are Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh?

MBE Helen Richardson-Walsh, born in Hertfordshire on September 23, 1981 was raised in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.

Whereas her partner OBE Kate Richardson-Walsh was born and raised in Manchester on May 9, 1980.

Helen started out playing hockey at age seven with her three old brothers for West Bridgford Hockey club.

Whilst Kate’s hockey career took off age eleven when she joined Didsbury Hockey Club after graduating from Brunel University with a 2:1 in Sports Science.

But gold-medallist pair met when they became team-mates for both England and the Great Britain women’s hockey field, before officially tying the knot as the lovers in 2013 after being together for five years.

And three years later, the lovebirds made history by becoming the first same-sex married couple to win Olympic gold as part of the same team.

Kate and Helen also earned the crown of becoming the first British couple to win gold as part of the same team since 1920.

Do Helen and Kate Richardson-Walsh have kids?

In September 2019, Kate announced on social media that she was pregnant with her the couple’s first child.

She gave birth to their beautiful daughter that same year, on New Year’s Eve which the lovebirds named Pfeiffer.

What has Helen and Kate said about the birth of Pfeiffer?

Helen gave birth to the couple’s daughter three months before England went into lockdown but the former Olympian admitted that it was a good thing.

Speaking in 2020, Helen said: “Lockdown has been mostly positive. I think the negative is that Pfeiffer thinks there’s only two people in her world.”

Kate added: “There is!

“Lockdown brought its challenges but if we’re honest, it’s been really nice being able to spend time together, which we wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise.

“It’s been really lovely to see Pfeiffer growing every day. She’s on the move, commando crawling across the floor at the moment – she’s pretty speedy.
