Gareth Bale 50/1 with Betfair to win first golf event at Pebble Beach Pro-Am

GARETH BALE is an outsider at odds of 50/1 to win the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this weekend.

Betfair have priced up a handful of top specials on the former Real Madrid and Tottenham in his first event in California.

Bale announced last week that he’d be taking to the fairways as part of the celebrity and golfer event.

It’s his first golf event since retiring from football last month, with improving his golf game reportedly his main priority now the boots have been hung up.

Revealing the news to his near-50 million followers, the Welsh legend said: “Delighted to announce I will be playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at the start of next month! Let’s go.”
