CONOR MCGREGOR showed he still means business even outside the octagon as he KO’d Miami Heats’ mascot.

The UFC legend was the centre of attention during the mid-game festivities between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat at the NBA finals.

He then knocked Burnie down with a left hook

McGregor, 34, was invited onto the court during a break in the game in which he started to promote a cryotherapy pain relief spray.

But during his moment, he was interrupted by Miami Heat mascot Burnie, who was wearing a pair of golden boxing gloves.

The Irishman then delivered a devasting left-handed punch, sending the mascot to the ground.

The staff then checked on Burnie before dragging him away.

While the mascot was removed from the court, McGregor started spraying him with the relief spray.

And fans were left joking that McGregor was thinking about old rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

One tweeted: “He imagined it was Khabib.”

One said: “Burnie didn’t deserve that.”

Another added: “The second punch was so unnecessary.”

A third declared: “I don’t know if I should be laughing at this… poor Burnie.”

A fourth tweeted: “Come on Conor. The follow-up shot was not needed man! 🤣.”

The Notorious is due to make his blockbuster return against Michael Chandler – his rival coach on the season of The Ultimate Fighter – later this year.

A date, however, for their showdown has yet to be announced – leading many to doubt it will come to fruition.
