WEST HAM and Burnley want Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo — if the price is right.

Clarets boss Vincent Kompany went to watch the prolific Senegal star, 27, in Ligue 1 action and the Hammers have also been tracking him.

Strasbourg may want up to £20million for a star who broke the 20-goal mark this term.

But both Prem suitors might only take an interest if the asking price is lowered slightly.

Burnley could focus on Diallo if the valuation of Coventry’s Viktor Gyokeres is too high or they fail to sign him.

Elsewhere, SunSport understands Burnley have been alerted to the prospect of signing Manchester City full-back Sergio Gomez.

This is because City boss Pep Guardiola wants to sign Raphael Guerriero on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old’s arrival would open for door for Gomez, who Kompany managed at Anderlecht, to head to Turf Moor.

Should they land Guerriero City would be willing to let Gomez go if they can recoup the £10m they paid for him last summer.

A loan deal would not be possible if Burnley are successful in taking City’s centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis – a huge success last season – for another campaign.

West Ham are also in the running to sign James Ward Prowse following Southampton’s relegation.

SunSport revealed last month that the Saints are still hoping to land £40m for him.
