BMW is making updates to the iconic M3 sedan for the 2025 model year. The changes include redesigned headlights and tweaked interior elements. An additional 20 horsepower has been added to the all-wheel drive Competition model, bringing the total output to 523 hp. Despite the increase in power, torque output remains the same at 479 pound-feet. The run to 60 miles per hour remains at 3.4 seconds. The rear-drive M3 and M3 Competition models continue to make 473 hp and 503 hp respectively from the S58 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine. Top speeds for all three models are capped at 155 mph, but can be increased to 180 mph with the optional M Driver’s Package.

In terms of transmission, the Competition models come with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while the standard rear-wheel-drive M3 is offered with a six-speed manual. The vehicles are equipped with six-piston front and single-piston rear calipers for stopping power, with the option to upgrade to M Carbon ceramic brakes. The 2025 M3 features new LED headlights, an outlined M3 badge on the trunk lid, and new forged M alloy 825M wheels with a bright silver finish. Inside, drivers will find a redesigned, three-spoke flat-bottom M leather steering wheel, available in Alcantara with revised spokes and a red 12-o’clock center marker. The infotainment system has been updated to BMW’s latest version 8.5, simplifying controls for the automatic climate system.

The 2025 M3 sedan is set to go on sale in July, with pricing starting at $77,175 for the base M3 and $81,375 for the M3 Competition, reflecting the same pricing as the 2024 models. The M3 Competition xDrive is now $1,000 more expensive than before, starting at $86,475. The destination charge has also been increased from $995 to $1,175. Fans of the BMW M3 can expect to see these updates and enhancements in the latest iteration of the performance sedan. The mid-cycle changes and performance upgrades will surely appeal to enthusiasts looking for a high-performance driving experience. The new M3 models offer a blend of power, handling, and luxury that BMW is known for, making them a top choice for those in the market for a sports sedan.
