Walter’s choice: flank god, turbo or technician?

Awesome solo over 70 meters, with his last-minute 2-1 match winner in Hanover – Ransford Königsdörffer (21) has reshuffled the cards in the HSV storm.

Coach Tim Walter (46) has THE choice on the left wing: Sonny Kittel (29), Jean-Luc Dompé (27) or super joker Königsdörffer – was it allowed to play against Kaiserslautern on Saturday? This is almost more than a luxury problem.

► Dompé is back in training after tearing his ligaments and should get fit in time. With the Frenchman in the starting eleven (four times), HSV won all games.

Although he only played 363 minutes, he already made the most crosses at HSV (28) and provided the second most shots to goal (14, Kittel 17). With 63 percent of duels won, the winger is the HSV professional with the best duels.

► Only Robert Glatzel (6) scores more often than Königsdörfer (three goals). The goalscorer needed 149 minutes to score, and Königsdörffer (153 minutes) almost got there. The 1.2 million purchase from Dresden is the dribbling king (won ten out of eleven) and the fastest HSV kicker (35.4 km/h).

► So far, Kittel has almost been seeded (in nine out of ten games starting XI). The veteran prepared the most goals (3) and most shots on goal (17).

Kittel didn’t do much in the end. 23 shot attempts, no hit. And – with only 31.9 km/h it is not a real wing racer.

It will be an exciting week for Walter. Depending on what the coach needs for his match plan, he can choose between flank god (Dompé), turbo (Königsdörffer) and technician (kittel)…
