The Cadillac V-Series.R Le Mans Race Car is Slower Than a Ferrari.

The Cadillac V-Series.R, a dedicated Le Mans race car, may not outperform modern supercars on the road despite its high performance capabilities. The car features an electric-only power mode up to 37 miles per hour before the 5.5-liter V-8 engine kicks in. With a limited output of 645 to 700 horsepower to comply with race rules, the Cadillac still falls short compared to other supercars. The Ferrari 296 GTB, a hybrid model, boasts 818 horsepower and 546 pound-feet of torque. The McLaren 750S, without a hybrid system, generates 740 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, while the Porsche 911 Turbo S has 640 hp and 590 lb-ft. The Porsche, with launch control and all-wheel drive, had the quickest 0-60 time of 2.4 seconds, but finished last in the quarter-mile race.

Even though the Porsche had the quickest start, it finished last in the quarter-mile race, tied with the McLaren. The Ferrari outperformed both, completing the run in 10.0 seconds at a speed of 144 mph. The Cadillac, despite taking 10.3 seconds to finish the quarter-mile, managed to blow past the Ferrari with ease once the accelerator was fully utilized. The McLaren and Porsche may have had quicker acceleration times, but the Ferrari and Cadillac topped the speed charts. The electric start of the Cadillac and transition to gas power created a delay in acceleration, but once the full power was unleashed, it proved to be a formidable contender.
