Everything you need to know about the cast and more of Marvel’s ‘The Fantastic Four’
Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby have been confirmed to lead Marvel’s The Fantastic Four movie as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman. They are joined by Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/the Thing. Ralph Ineson will play Galactus, the film’s main antagonist. The movie is set for a 2025 release and marks the third big screen iteration of the comic book series.
The film’s casting was announced in February 2024 with a 1960s-inspired poster paying homage to the characters’ origins. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025, two months after the release of Marvel’s Thunderbolts. The cast expanded with Julia Garner joining as Shalla-Bal, an incarnation of the iconic Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson joining in May 2024.
Plot details for The Fantastic Four are being kept under wraps, but the poster did hint at how the team’s comic book origins might be incorporated. The film will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), making it the first adaptation of the Fantastic Four to be part of the MCU. Director Matt Shakman, known for his work on WandaVision, is set to helm the project.
The Fantastic Four characters have already made an appearance in the MCU, with John Krasinski making a cameo as Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This crossover marks the beginning of the integration of characters previously owned by 21st Century Fox into the Disney-owned MCU. The film promises to be a thrilling addition to the Marvel universe with a star-studded cast and talented director at the helm.
