Paying Tribute to Jack Quinn: Former White House Counsel and, Above All, a Good Man
Jack Quinn, a former White House counsel and influential Washington, DC lawyer, has passed away at the age of 74. Born in New York, Quinn was the first in his family to attend college and he was ambitious and service-minded from the start. He gained political experience at Georgetown University law school, eventually leading him to Capitol Hill, campaigns, and later to the White House as President Bill Clinton’s counsel during the Whitewater investigation. In recent years, Quinn used his experience to represent family members of 9/11 victims in lawsuits against Saudi Arabia. However, beyond his professional accomplishments, Quinn was known as a loving husband to his wife Susanna and devoted father to his eight children and 12 grandchildren. He was remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and his ability to show love and affection to family and friends, even those he barely knew.
Quinn also served as a CNN legal analyst during the Trump administration, sharing his expertise with viewers on a regular basis. Colleagues remember him as always being warm and welcoming, even reaching out to newer colleagues to offer encouragement. Despite battling a lung disease that eventually took his life, Quinn remained positive and continued to make an impact through his television appearances. He was known for his kindness and thoughtfulness, even in the high-stress environment of cable news. His legacy extends far beyond his professional accomplishments, as he was known for his character, compassion, and good humor which left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Jack Quinn’s youngest son, Storm, became friends with another child around the same age, and witnessing Quinn’s love for his children was a memorable experience. Quinn’s love for his children knew no bounds, and his strong presence was evident in the resemblance his children bore to him. His impact on the world goes beyond his titles, jobs, and political influence, as he was a man of great character, compassion, and humor. Many people feel blessed to have known him, and his memory continues to be a blessing to those who remember him. Jack Quinn’s life serves as an example of someone who used his influence and experiences to make a positive impact on those around him, leaving a lasting legacy of kindness and love.
