Leg discovered at recycling facility in the Bronx, sources tell CBS2

NEW YORK — What is believed to be a human leg was discovered Wednesday at a recycling facility in the Bronx, sources say. 

Sources tell CBS2 employees at a Department of Environmental Protection facility discovered what appears to be a human leg from the knee down on a conveyer belt while sorting recycling. 

The NYPD was notified, and the medical examiner’s office is working to determine whether the remains are human. 

It’s unclear at this point where the recycling had been picked up from.
