Volkswagen has introduced a new and enhanced version of its iconic hot hatch, the GTI Clubsport. Based on the facelifted GTI, the Clubsport inherits the updated lights of the regular Grand Touring Injection model from Wolfsburg. This more powerful derivative features a different front bumper, a chunky rear spoiler, and larger wheels. The gap in power between the GTI and the Clubsport has narrowed with the release of the Mk8.5 models. While the standard GTI now boasts 261 horsepower, the Clubsport continues to produce 296 hp, along with a 22 lb-ft advantage in torque. Both models come with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, with the Clubsport offering a quicker acceleration time of 5.6 seconds to reach 62 mph.

The Clubsport also comes with an optional Race Package that raises the limiter to 167 mph and includes a beefier Akrapovič exhaust. Additionally, the Clubsport features chunkier brakes and a special Sport driving profile mode to enhance performance. Both the GTI and Clubsport models are equipped with standard limited-slip differentials, progressive steering, and optional adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). Inside the cabin, both models share an enlarged 12.9-inch touchscreen for the updated infotainment system, illuminated touch sliders, and traditional buttons on the steering wheel instead of capacitive keys. The new GTI Clubsport is making its debut at the Nürburgring 24 Hours before becoming available for sale in Europe later this year, although it will not be sold in the United States.

Volkswagen enthusiasts will be excited to learn about the enhancements made to the GTI Clubsport, a high-performance version of the iconic hot hatch. With updated lights borrowed from the regular GTI, the Clubsport features a distinctive front bumper, a rear spoiler, and larger wheels, providing a more aggressive and dynamic appearance. The Clubsport maintains its lead in power over the standard GTI, producing 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, along with quicker acceleration of 5.6 seconds from 0 to 62 mph. The Clubsport also offers an optional Race Package that includes a higher top speed of 167 mph and a performance exhaust system for an even sportier driving experience.

In addition to the performance upgrades, the GTI Clubsport comes equipped with enhanced features such as chunkier brakes, a special Sport driving profile mode, and standard limited-slip differentials and progressive steering. The option of adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) further enhances the driving experience for enthusiasts looking for a more personalized and dynamic ride. Inside the cabin, both the GTI and Clubsport models share an updated 12.9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, illuminated touch sliders, and traditional buttons on the steering wheel for improved functionality. The new GTI Clubsport is set to wow fans at the Nürburgring 24 Hours before hitting the European market later this year, though unfortunately, it will not be available in the United States.
