Knicks fans curse at Reggie Miller as team defeats Pacers in Game 2
New York Knicks fans showed their passion and loyalty during their team’s Game 2 win against the Indiana Pacers by directing their chants at legendary player Reggie Miller. Despite being down 10 points at halftime, the Knicks rallied back with the help of injured player Jalen Brunson to secure a 130-121 victory. As the game came to an end, Madison Square Garden echoed with chants of “F— you Reggie!” directed at the former Pacers player turned broadcaster.
Josh Hart, a Knicks guard, even made sure to clarify to Miller that the chants were indeed meant for him. This display of animosity can be traced back to Miller’s infamous eight points in nine seconds performance during the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals and his longstanding rivalry with filmmaker Spike Lee on the sidelines of the Garden. Miller, however, embraced his villainous role by declaring himself as the “boogeyman” before joining Brian Anderson and Stan Van Gundy for the TNT telecast of Game 2. Despite Miller’s taunts, the Knicks emerged victorious and took a 2-0 lead in the playoff series.
Game 3 is scheduled to take place on Friday night in Indianapolis, where the Knicks will look to extend their lead over the Pacers. New York fans can follow Fox News Digital’s sports coverage on their platform and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter for more updates. Ryan Gaydos, a senior editor for Fox News Digital, reported on this intense showdown between the Knicks and Pacers, showcasing the passion and excitement that basketball fans bring to the game. As the series continues, the rivalry between the teams and the players promises to provide more thrilling moments for fans to enjoy.
