Rapper Snoop Dogg has ventured into the world of college football by sponsoring the Arizona Bowl. The event will be presented by Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop, the first product launched under his brand with Dr. Dre. This groundbreaking partnership marks the first time an alcohol brand will be the presenting sponsor of a college football bowl game and will showcase the Gin & Juice brand. Gin & Juice currently offers ready-to-drink cocktails in four flavors, featuring a premium light gin base, inspired by Snoop Dogg’s 1994 hit song. The rapper expressed his excitement for the sponsorship, stating that it’s time to focus on the essence of college football – the players, competition, community, and fan experience.

Arizona Bowl Executive Director Kym Adair expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop, highlighting the unique blend of sports, libations, and entertainment that the event will provide. In addition to promoting the spirits brand, the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl will feature charity events and a youth football game called the SNOOPER Bowl, showcasing teams from California and Arizona. The bowl game will continue its tradition of donating 100% of proceeds to charity. This innovative approach aims to redefine brand partnerships within the NCAA and provide a memorable experience for college football fans, players, and communities.

Snoop Dogg’s connection to football runs deep, as he has been actively involved in the sport for years. As the founder of the Snoop Youth Football League (SYFL) in California, he has helped over 40 players transition to college and NFL careers, including notable names like C.J. Stroud, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and De’Anthony Thomas. His passion for the game and commitment to developing young talent has earned him respect within the football community, making his sponsorship of the Arizona Bowl a natural extension of his involvement in the sport.

The Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl marks a significant moment in the world of college football, as it becomes one of the few bowl games to feature a living individual in its title. This trend follows similar naming sponsorships like the LA Bowl, which had Jimmy Kimmel and Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski as title sponsors. The upcoming bowl game, scheduled for December 28, 2024, at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, is expected to showcase teams from the Mountain West Conference and the Mid-American Conference. The collaboration with Snoop Dogg and Gin & Juice promises to bring a fresh perspective to the traditional college football experience.
