FHP releases video showing deadly hit-and-run near Tampa International Airport
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Highway Patrol on Thursday released a video showing a deadly hit-and-run crash from last week near Tampa International Airport.
The crash happened shortly after 11 p.m. March 17 in the area of Hillsborough Avenue and George Road, troopers said.
A 32-year-old El Salvador man was hit while he was trying to cross the street, according to FHP.
Troopers initially said the type of vehicle involved was unknown, but later obtained video showing it was a motorcycle. Due to its graphic nature, WFLA has edited the video to pause before impact.
The man died after he was taken to a hospital.
No other details about the crash were immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to call *347 or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
